Hi All, The following is an e-mail that I received from a teacher. Click on the link to see the video.
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for the copper, and I wanted to share with you a project I did with the crafts class. Tell the guys at Nev Fine Arts thank you for the suggestions, and share the movie attachment with them. I will definitely do this again. If you have some 32 gauge copper.... save it for me because I will need some more.
Thank you very much, Amber
We used shoe polish and then buffed them out a manicure nail blocks....aren't they beautiful?? The kids really love them, and I am having them do extra credit small ones so we have a center piece to send to the legislators for a luncheon they are having. The kids are writing a message on the back of each one to say why they love the arts. We are hoping they will hear us out about saving the arts in schools.
Take care, Amber

Nevada Fine Arts hosted another free event last week. Nina Deckert from Berkley came for the evening to demonstrate and talk about "Golden" art products new line of paint called "Open." It is an artist grade acrylic paint that stays wet longer then regular acrylics. It is a great solution for oil painters who are tired of dealing with solvents. Water cleanup with this acrylic. The paint is "buttery" and stays wet for a long time, allowing the artist time to blend and paint like oils. She also brought samples of the digital ground mediums by Golden. You can put the ground on mylar, foil, specialty papers and gels and run them thru an inkjet printer. Can we call this "Modern Printmaking?" The ground helps the image turn out very colorful and clear on these various surfaces. 30 people attended the demo and everyone left with free samples and enjoyed the refreshments. Sign up on our website to get on the email list for coming events at the store. Ciao!
